CAMBER & CASPER

Partners

Your accountant looks after tax time. Command keeps an eye on the other 51 weeks.

For accountants, lawyers and property managers who advise owners. You introduce an owner, we run a First look for them, and you see what Command would have flagged.

How a referral works

Four steps. Your part is one introduction.

Your part: an introduction. Ours: the First look, the write-up and the disclosure.

  1. 1

    You introduce an owner.

Someone you think would benefit from having one of their properties watched.

  2. 2

We run a First look for them.

One past deal, read-only, with the owner’s written permission.

  3. 3

    We send you a copy.

With the owner’s OK. You see what Command would have flagged, when, and what it would have drafted.

  4. 4

If the owner goes ahead, you receive a thank-you.

It is 10% of the client’s first-year monthly fees, disclosed to the client in writing before any payment.

The thank-you

10% of the client’s first-year monthly fees.

The thank-you is 10% of the monthly fees the client pays in their first year. The set-up fee is not included. Plus GST where it applies.

We disclose every referral fee to the client in writing, before the first payment. We give you a one-line disclosure to paste into your own letter to the client.

Accountants must disclose referral payments to their clients under APES 110. You are responsible for your own compliance. If you are unsure, check with your own professional body.

The breakfast briefing

45 minutes, for a firm’s property clients.

Hosted by the firm, with no sales pitch. The aim is a clear picture of what gave notice, and one example, so each owner can decide whether a First look is worth an hour.

TimeWhat happens
0:00 to 0:05Welcome from the host firm: why this session, and what it isn’t.
0:05 to 0:15“Most problems give notice.” What gave notice in Melbourne commercial property last quarter, from public notices with their dates and sources.
0:15 to 0:25One worked example: an illustrative First look, walked through line by line and labelled as illustrative.
0:25 to 0:35What an owner needs to do: an hour, one past deal, and their OK on each connection. What it reads, what it does, and what it won’t do.
0:35 to 0:40Questions, including the hard ones: the limits, the misses and the costs.
0:40 to 0:45Close: the First look offer, and how an owner asks for one.
